Radio

Radio is a form of media that relies on sound. Because there is no visual component to radio an advertisement will seek to gain the listener’s attention through audio cues. These cues might include:

  • Voice work
  • A jingle
  • A slogan
  • Music
  • A chant

Exercise: Listen the radio advertisement above. Explain in one paragraph how this advertisement could be translated into another form of advertising. eg. television, flyer, billboard etc.
